About the Auction

Every spring, BLSPI hosts its Annual Auction. This year’s event was once again held in the Forchelli Center of Feil Hall, a beautiful event space which showcases spectacular views of the New York City skyline.

Whether you are a local business owner who wants to give back to your community, a corporation or firm looking to become one of our generous sponsors, a local resident looking to enjoy a great night out on the town, or a student intent on experiencing one of the largest and most exciting events to take place at Brooklyn Law School each year, the BLSPI Auction has something to offer everyone.

Our event consists of both a live and a silent auction.  Items up for bid last year included everything from sports tickets and memorabilia to gift certificates for great area restaurants, networking and social opportunities with our law school faculty, artwork and jewelry donated by local businesses, and even the chance to share a meal with some of Brooklyn Law School’s most famous alumni, including Geraldo Rivera. And, of course, all attendees will be able to partake in complementary appetizers and hors d’oeuvres and enjoy an open beer and wine bar.

And, the best part of all is that the money we raise will fund BLSPI’s numerous public interest initiatives, all of which are designed to improve the lives of people in need. One of the principal initiatives made possible by the auction is the BLSPI Fellowship Program. Each year, we give out summer fellowships to 20 deserving and dedicated students, allowing them to take on public interest legal positions that would otherwise be unpaid. Check out our Fellows page on the web site to view the most recent recipients of this prestigious award and read about the amazing work they were able to do thanks to the generosity of people like you.

If you are interested in helping to support  next  year’s auction, you can make a donation online. If you would like to get involved in another way or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Emily Shoor, Brendan Rigby, and Homer Turgeon at auction@blspi.org.
